PhD student are represented by representatives on the Doctoral School Council.

Annual science day

Each year, the doctoral school organizes a scientific gathering that is generally held in spring.

Organized by the PhD students elected to the ‘Doctoral School Council’, this day is meant to give PhD students the opportunity to present their work via oral presentations or posters. Directors of the universities' professional integration services and guest neuroscientists are also invited to make presentations. This is also the moment when PhD students elect their representatives to the School Council and the Advisory Committee.
The doctoral school encourages participation in this event, for it allows all of the school's students to meet together, discuss their research and expand their networks.

In 2023, the annual science day was held on Wednesday 21st June at the Institut des Sciences Cognitives Marc Jeannerod - 67 Boulvard Pinel - 69500 BRON CEDEX.

NSCo breakfast

Every year, the doctoral school hosts an informal gathering in the form of a breakfast with various representatives of the socio-economic world. Guest speakers are primarily business leaders (SMEs and star-ups) or the managers of research departments within large corporations/groups. Each year, the NSCo breakfast is organized around a new theme, such as "Brain-machine interfaces", "Neuropharmacology", "Starting a business", etc.

In 2019, the NSCo breakfast was held on Thursday 27th June at the Université de Lyon.
