Doctoral contracts are awarded following a competitive recruitment process focussing on specific research subjects


A doctoral contract is a three-year work contract for the employment of a PhD student by a public institution of higher education and research.

All PhD applications must be linked to a thesis offer published before the application.

It is your responsability to submit a complete application according to the situation envisaged. Any complte or non-compliant application will be rejected.
We recomment that you prepare your application in advane of the deadline. Your application will be validated ontly after agreement by the thesis director and lab director

Recruitment calendar 2026

30 April 2026 : Deadline for submission of thesis offers by thesis directors via ADUM
Until May 2026 : Students can contact the supervisors to discuss the doctoral project in preparation for the competition
31 May 2026 : Deadline for application
05 June 2026 : Deadline for validation of applications by thesis directors
12 June 2026 : Deadline for validation of applications by lab directors
23 June 2026 : Pre-selection commitee (Composition of pre-selection committee not available)
26 June 2026 : Deadline for communication of definitive marks of Master
1 and 2 July 2026 : Final selection committee (Composition of final selection commitee not available)
1 September 2026 : Retirement of non financed offers and applications 

Applications must be made via the dedicated interface indicated in each thesis offer. The information given must be completed with annexes to be attached as a single pdf file on the interface.

Criteria for the ranking of candidates :

Candidates will be ranked on their oral presentation in front of the selection board (ED NSCo Committee decision of 16th December 2014).
