Annual registration

Your registration with the doctoral school is compulsory and must be renewed at the start of each academic year during your thesis studies.

Thesis studies are broken down into academic years. If you first register in March of year "Y" you will complete the first year of your doctoral studies in September of that year. You will then need to re-register immediately to pursue your studies in the Y/Y+1 academic year.

Re-registration - Academic year 2023-2024

1. Pedagogical enrollment via ADUM

Log on ADUM (https://adum.fr/index.pl?site=UDL) with your login and password and ask for your re-registration for the year 2023-2024. Once your online dossier has been completed, it must be validated by the thesis director, the laboratory and the doctoral school

2. Administrative registration

You will receive an email inviting you to register at your chosen educational institution partnered with the doctoral school. You will receive by post details of the registration procedure, as well as deadline for registration.

For information purposes, these fees amounted to approximately 380€ for the 2023/2024 academic year and 100€ for the CVEC certificate, compulsory from the 2018-2019 academic year.

Attention
For re-registration (D2 and +), this is possible only with the approval of the Thesis Supervisory Committee. Proof of their approval must be sent to the school secretary and uploaded to the SIGED platform.

If your thesis defeense is scheduled before the end of calendar year : 
In Lyon 1, if your thesis defense is scheduled between October 1 and December 31, 2023, you must register for the 2023-2024 academic year. You will not have to pay any registration fees, with the exception of the CVEC certificate.

In Lyon 2, if your thesis defense is scheduled between October 1 and December 31, 2023, you are exempt from regristration for the 2023-2024 academic year. You will not have to pay any registration fees, with the exception of the CVEC certificate.

Situation of part-time theses :
When the theses is conducted on a part-time basis, the duration of the preparation of the doctorate can be extended to a maximum of 6 years. In this case, the Thesis Supervisor Commitee is to be scheduled by default at the end of the 2nd and 4th year. 

3. Proof of registration

Once your administrative registration has been finalised, you will be able to collect your certificate of registration, certificate from the relevant department or ask for it to be sent to your home address..
