The Neurosciences and Cognition Doctoral School (ED 476 NSCo)

The school is home to:


140 PhD students,

140 HDRs (accredited research directors),

7 laboratories,
30 research teams
and an average of 35 theses defended annually.

Research themes

The Neurosciences and Cognition Doctoral School coordinates the training and education of future doctorate holders in the study of normal brain function but also of disorders resulting from brain damage as well as neurological, neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders.

A research-friendly environment

Located at one of France's leading biological research sites, Lyons Neurosciences and Cognition Doctoral School benefits from a particularly rich scientific environment. Supported by a network of 7 laboratories employing over 500 people, the school's mission is to improve our understanding of the brain and its functions. 





 





The PhD program includes 8 laboratories and 28 host teams. Laboratories belong to University Lyon 1 and Lyon 2.
